What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file that may be stored in the browser you use to access MotorInc services, which enables features and functionality. It allows our website or app to "remember" your activity or preferences over a length of time or during a particular session. If you're signed in to MotorInc, cookies allow us to show you the right information and personalize your experience in accordance with your preferences.
Some of the cookies we use facilitate our provision of the service. These are known as first-party cookies. We also utilize third-party cookies, which are set by other sites (for example, Google) and employed on our website or app, and are explained further below.
In addition to cookies, we use similar technologies such as web pixels, local storage, and mobile analytics, for example using SDKs. Collectively, we refer to these technologies as "cookies" throughout this Cookie Policy.
Unless otherwise stated in this Cookie Policy, our MotorInc Privacy Policy applies to the data we collect via cookies.
How does MotorInc use cookies?
We use session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary cookies that are not stored in your browser or mobile device beyond the session in question. They are used for authentication and security purposes and to ensure the effective and necessary functioning of the MotorInc features you are utilizing. We may also use a session cookie to remember your preferences when viewing the site. These session cookies are erased when you exit your browser.
Persistent cookies are those placed on your browser or mobile device for a predetermined length of time when you visit our site or use our app. They expire on a set expiration date, or when they are deleted manually. To learn more about how you can delete cookies manually, read the section below entitled “Managing and refusing the use of cookies.”
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly Necessary Cookies, also referred to as Essential Cookies, are necessary for the MotorInc site or app to function and provide you with the services you’ve requested from us. We store Strictly Necessary Cookies only as long as needed to provide that service or for the site or app to function. We develop and use Strictly Necessary Cookies via our website, for example, to:
- authenticate users,
- block malicious use of login credentials, and
- shield unauthorized access to member data.
For example, we use session cookies to pin a logged-in session to a browser and store them for the duration of your session as needed to keep you logged in in accordance with your preferences.
You cannot decline these cookies because they are essential for the functioning of the MotorInc site, app and services you have requested.
Non-Essential Cookies
Non-Essential Cookies are, as their name implies, not strictly necessary for the functioning of the MotorInc site or app or for providing services you’ve requested from us. MotorInc uses Non-Essential Cookies, including third party cookies, to collect information on website and app usage in order to:
- understand and improve your experience,
- perform analytics,
- serve relevant ads, and
- to allow you to navigate our site and use its services and features, for example, when you sign up and login using a third-party- account.
We further classify Non-Essential Cookies into the following categories: Functional, Performance, and Targeting.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies are cookies used to enhance how MotorInc’s website works and your user experience–for example, to remember your preferences.
Performance Cookies
Performance Cookies help us learn how well our website and apps operate across different locations and identify any issues in the operation and provision of our products. We use Performance Cookies, including from third parties, to assist us in measuring and understanding how our products are used and how they can be optimized, as well as to perform business research and to inform targeted advertising. We may also receive other analytics information from these third parties.
**We use the following cookies for performance, analytics and research purposes: Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and Firebase **
We classify the cookies into the four broad categories described below

Managing and refusing the use of cookies
When you first visit our site, you will see a banner asking whether you would like to accept the use of cookies. By clicking “I accept,” you agree to the use of all cookies as described here, including Non-Essential Cookies.
We will only use Non-Essential Cookies if you click “I accept” on the cookies banner, or in your cookies preferences. You can manage your cookies preferences at any time by toggling the radio button at the top of this policy. If you click “Deny” in your cookies preferences or “Reject” on the cookies banner, we will not use Non-Essential Cookies.
If you access MotorInc through our app, you may also control interest-based advertising on an iOS or Android device by selecting the “Limit Ad Tracking” option in the privacy section of the Settings App on iOS or via advertising preferences on Android-based devices (usually in the Google Settings app). This will not prevent you from seeing advertisements but will limit the use of device advertising identifiers to personalize ads based on your interests.
Most browsers allow you to choose whether you wish to accept cookies. Different browsers make different controls available to you and so we provide links below to popular browser instructions on how you can do this. Generally, your browser will offer you the choice to accept, refuse or delete all cookies, or third-party cookies on a website, or those from specific websites. However, if you restrict our capability to set cookies, you may limit the full functionality of MotorInc, which will make some of our services and features unavailable to you.
In some cases, you can manage or opt out of third-party cookies on a cookie-by-cookie basis. Learn more about how to manage these individual cookie settings and review their corresponding privacy policies by visiting the websites below:

Do Not Track (DNT)
We may not recognize Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) signals from your web browsers or device. This is because there is not yet a universally accepted standard on how to interpret and respond to DNT signals, which often conflict with other settings. If and when a standard is established, we will re-examine how we can appropriately respond to DNT signals.

This policy may change from time to time, so it should be reviewed frequently for the most up to date cookie information. We will notify you in advance of material changes to this policy.
